An exciting opportunity exists for a Retail Asset Protection and Security Manager at SPITZ in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to ensure retail security risks are identified and effectively communicated to business, recommend cost effective corrective measures to mitigate identified security risks and to assist business management to implement effective controls within the organisation.

Key Performance Areas

Operational retail security risk management
  • Risk identification and assessment
  • Counter measures
  • Monitor and review compliance
  • Critical performance areas
Investigations of all store incidents
  • First coordinator at store level for incidents
  • Investigations at all stores nationally (travel required)
  • Conduct major investigations
Security and situational awareness
  • Conduct relevant security awareness training for Spitz employees
Mock drills
  • Test operational readiness and adherence to standard operating procedures through mock drills
Store cash, stock and fixed assets
  • Review process flow and suggest improvements to mitigate risk
  • Investigate high cash and stock losses
  • Attend to all cash handling queries
Minimum Requirements

Experience
  • 2 - 3 years working in a similar environment is essential
  • No less than 3 years working in asset protection is essential
  • In-depth knowledge of investigations and security practices
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office
Qualifications
  • National Diploma in Security Risk Management is essential
  • Registered with Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) - Grade A
  • Valid drivers license
